How flies appear
Content
Near the man lives a lot of different pests. One of the most unpleasant of these "neighbors" is a fly. This buzzing insect is annoying with its endless sleep around the room and the unpleasant buzz. In addition, this small nondescript creature can be a serious danger to humans, as it is the carrier of infectious diseases. It is not always easy to get rid of pests, as flies reproduce quickly enough.
How many eggs does the fly lay
Common flies - one of the most common species of familywhich is also found in a non-domestic environment. Their lifespan depends on the ambient temperature, and therefore, full life cycle may take up to 4 weeks.
On a note!
The reproductive function of insects is rather well developed: during the season a pair of different-sex individuals is able to recreate a many thousands family. One female lays up to 1000 eggs in her life.
In the process of life, the insect undergoes 4 stages of development (egg larva, pupa and adult).
Egg development process
Insects mate in spring. The male of the fly climbs on the back of the female, remaining in this position for some time. Sometimes flies also mate in flight: the male embraces the female with his legs and clamps her wings, taking off into the air. Such a process of fertilization is observed in flies.
After mating, the female goes in search of a suitable place, where she will later lay eggs. And the female individual is oriented solely on the sense of smell and taste.Favorable for egg laying are places with all sorts of human waste, where there is an accumulation of rotten fruits and vegetables, rotten meat products, as well as cattle manure.
Having picked up a secluded place, a pregnant fly lays about a hundred eggs, the length of which does not exceed 1 mm. After a few hours, they become worm-like legless larvae, called by fishermen as maggots. This period of development can vary: at home, it usually takes about 8 hours, but if eggs laid by a fly develop in nature, then the larvae of them may appear after 20 hours.
On a note!
The insect is able to live in conditions from 10 to 40 degrees, the most favorable is the temperature of 18-25 degrees.
How the larva develops
This stage of the pest’s life is called “nutritional”; its duration is usually no more than a week. During this period, the larvae rush to search for heat, food and moisture, more and more venturing into organic waste. In this way they hide from their natural enemies (birds and animals),and the harmful rays of the sun. With the help of digestive juices, the larvae liquefy food to a consistency acceptable to them.
On a note!
After 5-6 days, the grown larva of the fly, whose dimensions increase 60-80 times, begins to darken, acquiring a brown-brown color. Then it pupates, moving to a new stage of its development.
Pupa stage
The most passive stage in the development of a fly is the pupal stage, the duration of which does not exceed 5-7 days. The hardened skin of the larva is transformed into a puppet case (puparium), inside of which the process of metamorphosis is completed: the disintegration of the tissues of the larva and the formation of all vital organs of the individual occur. After the required time has elapsed, flies (imago) are born.
Development of imago
In order to soar into the air, the newly appeared individual is forced to spend a few more days among organic waste, waiting for its wings to dry out and get stronger. As soon as the insect gets on the wing, it is full-fledged and capable of reproduction. Usually the young egg lays the first laying of eggs 1-2 weeks after birth.
With the onset of autumn, most of the flies die. Surviving individuals stay for the winter, going in search of favorable secluded places. With the advent of heat, the reproduction of flies resumes.
Preventive actions
Do not forget that flies are the main carriers of infectious diseases and pathogenic bacteria. Making flights, insects very quickly carry dangerous particles. Especially unfavorable appearance in the house green carrion flydwelling both among flowering strongly smelling plants and in dirty places: manure, various rotting wastes, and also on decaying animal carcasses.
Due to the fact that flies breed quickly enough their penetration into the house completely undesirable. To prevent their spread, you must follow simple rules:
- Do not leave vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, sweet and other products open for a long time, as they are the favorable environment for the development of eggs;
- try to keep the house clean by disposing of food and household waste in a timely manner;
- use mosquito nets: as flies appear in the shelter, usually flying through windows or doors;
If the pests could still appear in the house, you must use folk and chemical means for their destruction.
