The use of ammonia from cockroaches is based on the insects' rejection of strong odors, from which they tend to be as far as possible. Getting rid of insects, the agent is added to the water for washing the floor. The resulting solution is carried out the usual arrangements for cleaning the apartment: washed floor, plinth, door openings, etc. This method works only against a small number of adult insects. On the larval stage of the cockroach, ammonia does not affect.

There were not so many of them, so I decided to trust the “grandmother's” remedy - liquid ammonia.I processed furniture, floors, doors, in some places walls with diluted material. I myself had to run away from home — the smell was very sharp, a lot of alcohol dripped into the water. When I returned the next day, I did not find cockroaches. I did the procedure several times, only the concentration decreased. Now everything, I do not have a cockroach, thanks to the bat and grandmother!

Treat all surfaces, including furniture upholstery. The treatment solution is not difficult to prepare: for every liter of water you should add a teaspoon of ammonia. Mix well. Proceed with wet cleaning.
In order to prevent cockroaches from returning to an apartment, this treatment should be repeated every 3-4 days for a couple of months. It is worth remembering that this tool does not kill cockroaches, but only scares them with its sharp smell.
After surface treatment it is worth leaving the apartment for a few hours. Upon returning, by all means carefully ventilate it, because the pungent smell is unpleasant not only to cockroaches.
Important!
The smell of crawling parasites is much stronger than ours, so even after airing they will continue to smell. Gradually ammonia from the surfaces will disappear and the procedure will need to be repeated.

In the summer we went to the country. Gathered to rest, friends called. Quite unexpectedly, they saw cockroaches in the little house. Especially in our village there are no shops, but there is a pharmacy. Bought sal ammoniac, fast girls all washed-missed with a folk remedy. Smelled in the room, of course. But while the kebabs were doing, while the friends arrived, the smell disappeared and the cockroaches disappeared. I hope that during the winter the pest in the whole village will die out.

Always wear a respirator and gloves. If there is no respirator, it can be replaced with a gauze or medical mask. During operation, open windows to avoid ammonia poisoning.

Do not allow liquid ammonia to enter the oral cavity and stomach: this will lead to severe burns and significant disruption of the gastrointestinal tract. Death is not excluded. If the product gets on the skin, allergic reactions and burns are possible, so immediately after contact it is necessary to wash the lesions with running water. Inhalation of vapors may stop breathing. It is these terrible consequences that should always make you follow safety precautions.

Experienced people are advised to use for getting rid of cockroaches, not only a recipe with ammonia, but also other means with a strong unpleasant odor. So, for this purpose you can use turpentine, vinegar, kerosene. It must be remembered that kerosene and turpentine have a rather persistent odor to people. Therefore, it is desirable to be able to live some time in another place. Cockroaches during this time, having sniffed out ammonia vapors, will also leave the territory.
You can try to get rid of uninvited guests odorous plants: elder, clove, tansy. They are effective against a small colony of insects.
